Resumo:The potential of emerging technologies such as augmented reality and virtual reality in the process of producing journalistic content is analyzed, within what has been called immersive journalism or also insertion or experiential journalism. From a sample of recent use cases, with a focus more on synthetic visualization formats and infographics, it was possible to identify a new set of reconfigurations and possibilities for improving experiences in the consumption of news, based on hypermedia elements and  on the concepts of immersion and presence.
