Sumario:Entrepreneurship stands out as a phenomenon of economic and social consequences represented in the figure of the entrepreneur, and it is important to understand and determine the factors that can direct and induce people's behavior towards entrepreneurial action. In view of this, the present study aims to identify the motivational factors that influenced entrepreneurs to open their companies in the pharmaceutical sector in Rondon do Pará. The research with a qualitative approach, of an exploratory character, used the study of multiple cases, and the Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews with five entrepreneurs from the municipality's pharmaceutical sector. The results obtained classified the entrepreneurial intention based on personal needs, which move behavior towards action in undertaking, linked to the characteristics found in entrepreneurs such as initiative, innovation, persistence and the ability to take risks, under the influence of social and economic elements. It was observed that from the combination of these elements, entrepreneurs felt confident to open their companies.
