Sumario:Growing interest in tourism motivated by gastronomy contributes to the economic development of destinations, with the potential to become a complementary tourist attraction, including those whose main motivation is wine tourism. Taking this importance into account and constructive collaboration between gastronomy and wine, a case study was conducted with the aim of analyzing how the gastronomic identity of a wine tourism destination is expressed in communication of the main channels used as a source of information for its visitors. To achieve the objectives, a literature review and data collection were used, conducted by a qualitative approach using the quantitative style content analysis. The results demonstrate challenges and possibilities with practical implications for the consolidation and/or construction of an image for gastronomy in this destination, as well as presenting the limitations that occurred during investigation and suggestions for future studies on digital communication based analyzes.
