In the results, the higher average score stands out in the injured soccer players with respect to the scales Affectivity, Dominance, Impulsivity, Group conformity and Daring. On the other hand, they got a lower score on Imagination and Apprehension scales. It is concluded that some personality traits can increase the probability of suffering an injury in soccer. Specifically, soccer players who have high scores in the factors Affectivity, Dominance, Impulsivity, Group Conformity and Daring and low in Imagination and Apprehension are more likely to be injured.Los estudios que relacionan rasgos de personalidad haciendo uso de escalas genéricas de carácter en deportistas son escasos. Por ello, el objetivo del presente trabajo es estudiar las posibles diferencias en los rasgos de identidad entre los futbolistas de alto rendimiento con y sin lesión. Se trabajó con dos grupos de (n = 12), deportistas lesionados e ilesos, a los que se les administró el cuestionario de personalidad 16 PF. En los resultados destaca la puntuación media superior en los futbolistas lesionados en las escalas de Afectividad, Dominancia, Impulsividad, Conformidad grupal y Atrevimiento. Por otro lado, obtuvieron menor puntuación en las escalas de Imaginación y Aprensión. Se concluye que algunos de los rasgos de personalidad pueden aumentar la probabilidad de sufrir una lesión en el fútbol. Específicamente, los futbolistas que presentan elevadas puntuaciones en los factores Afectividad, Dominancia, Impulsividad Conformidad grupal y Atrevimiento y bajas en Imaginación y Aprensión son más propensos a lesionarse.
