It was possible to see that the work uses the juxtaposition and overflow of dramatic, lyrical and epic modes to compose a look that puts into tension the influence of large companies such as the American fast food chain on contemporary consumption. A dramaturgical language that reinvents paradigms and dialogues with the poetics of post-modernity.A partir de fragmentos de la crisis que ha marcado el lenguaje teatral en los últimos dos siglos, este artículo pretende comprender cómo se reconfiguran los acercamientos entre teatro y política a través de la pulsión rapsódica en la obra La historia de Ronald, el payaso de McDonald's, del dramaturgo hispano-argentino Rodrigo García. Se pudo ver que la obra utiliza la yuxtaposición y el desbordamiento de modos dramáticos, líricos y épicos para componer una mirada que pone en tensión la influencia de grandes empresas como la cadena estadounidense de comida rápida en el consumo contemporáneo. Un lenguaje dramatúrgico que reinventa paradigmas y dialoga con las poéticas de la posmodernidad.A partir de fragmentos da crise que vem marcando a linguagem teatral nos últimos dois séculos, este artigo tem o objetivo de compreender como aproximações entre teatro e política se reconfiguram através da pulsão rapsódica na peça A história de Ronald, o palhaço do McDonald's, do dramaturgo hispano-argentino Rodrigo García. Foi possível perceber que a obra se utiliza da justaposição e do transbordamento dos modos dramático, lírico e épico para compor um olhar que coloca em tensão a influência de grandes empresas, como a rede de fast food estadunidense sobre o consumo na contemporaneidade.
