The results indicate that the reuse of these batteries is feasible, generating benefits such as reduced operating costs and lower environmental impact, especially by reducing the need to dispose of hazardous waste and dependence on natural resources. However, the study also identified challenges, such as the high costs of technologies, logistical barriers, and the absence of unified global regulations, underscoring the importance of joint efforts between different sectors to overcome these obstacles and promote the advancement of electric mobility in a sustainable way.Este estudo analisou a viabilidade técnica, econômica e ambiental da reutilização e reciclagem de baterias de íon-lítio provenientes de veículos elétricos, com foco na promoção da sustentabilidade e na integração à economia circular. Por meio de uma pesquisa sistemática em fontes acadêmicas e relatórios técnicos, foram explorados métodos de reciclagem, como a pirometalurgia e hidrometalurgia, bem como aplicações práticas para baterias em sua segunda vida útil. Os resultados indicam que a reutilização dessas baterias é viável, gerando benefícios como a redução de custos operacionais e o menor impacto ambiental, sobretudo pela diminuição da necessidade de descarte de resíduos perigosos e da dependência de recursos naturais.
